When you write for different ages do you need a pseudonym?

First let me thank the gorgeous Jo Hart for having me on her blog today to play my very own game of 5 Favourites. Jo was one of my awesome critique partners in the early stages of Spiralling Out of Control. Her help was invaluable. Please pop over and say hi at The Graceful Doe

And also today Helen from the Book Review Sisters has kindly posted a review of Spiralling Out of Control on their blog.

Now I'm after some BLOG READER HELP...

I have also written several picture books and chapter books. If I was to have them published, do you think I should go under a pseudonym? Would you be concerned about children say 10-12 years old enjoying a chapter book then searching for more of my work and picking up Spiralling Out of Control?  I wouldn't want someone that young reading it.

On the other hand, I'm too lazy to think of myself as two names - but safety of children is more important than my laziness.

Would love to hear your thoughts on pseudonyms.

The excitement of reaching #1

Today the gorgeous Theresa Milstein and Kimberly Payne are hosting me on their blogs. Please pop over and visit them.

Well, the last week has been a little crazy. I always knew releasing a book took up a lot of time. All I can say is ... it's so worth it. Last weekend I attended a local writer's conference (CALEB) - I do plan to post some notes from the panel I was on soon. During the conference my novel was free on Amazon - I had planned a reviewers promo. I came home from conference to crazy busy day on Sunday with Miss 10's gymnastic competition, church, friends etc ... And just before I dropped into bed I checked Spiralling Out of Control out on Amazon ...
Wow... #1 in 2 categories.. I wasn't expecting that ... it sure took my breath away.
Now the goal is to get to #1 in 'paid Kindle store'

How to start reading ebooks on Kindle or any device!

Ok... so this post is for several of my friends who are asking how they can read my book and aren't quite sure where to begin.

But before I get to that, there are a couple of people who've so kindly posted info about my book on their blog...if you have a moment, please click on their name and visit their blogs.

Eliza Earsman
Iola Goulton
Kelly Hashway

Thank you so much gorgeous women!

How to download my debut novel... or any ebook..

Step 1. Set up an account with Amazon

My HTC with Kindle app
Step 2. (if you don't own a kindle) Search the app store on your iPad, iPod, iPhone or Android device for 'Kindle' it's free... download it. Click here to download the app for your PC, laptop or notebook  And for Mac's go here.

Step 3. Open your Kindle app and add your Amazon account. ( I don't remember exactly how this happens but I do remember that it was simple.)

Step 4. Either on your Kindle or Kindle app or the Amazon website(log into your account), search 'Spiralling Out of Control' - or the book you'd like to purchase.

When on the Amazon site there's a box on the right with details of where the book will be downloaded to.

And with one click the book will be delivered to your Kindle or Kindle app - There is also the bonus of being able to sync all of your devices so you can continue to read books where ever, whenever.

If this post doesn't make sense... maybe ask a technical minded friend or a teenager :D

Happy reading all... and remember.. if you love Spiralling Out of Control, please tell your friends, then world and post a review on Amazon and Goodreads.
