Let me introduce you to a book by an Aussie author. I've read the first few pages and so far it has in-depth descriptions which gave my mind a very clear view of where she was. I had intentions to finish Soul Friend and write a review - but IndieReCon began and well, my time has been completely invested there. I've learnt loads of tips already on editing, branding, common mistakes to avoid and marketing. And two absolutely fabulous things about IndieReCon ... it's free and all the info will be staying up on the site.
So I look forward to getting into this book and going on a journey with Jo-Anne as she goes on a journey with a spiritual mentor and friend when IndieReCon ends.
The Book:

Soul Friend is an honest and intimate portrayal of the author's own journey with her wise, spiritual mentor and the warm, life-giving relationship that developed between them during their fifteen years of meeting together. This story is written in the hope that it will inspire many not only to seek out such a spiritual friendship for themselves but also to provide such a friendship for another.
Beautifully written, this honest and insightful memoir is an inspiring celebration of the ancient art of spiritual companionship. Dr Rick Lewis
Soul friendship is a very under-emphasised resource of Christian discipleship, particularly for Christian leaders. Jo-Anne has written honestly, beautifully, sensitively and powerfully. Dr Keith Farmer

Now this is something we truly need more of, and I am so glad to know there is a book out on it. I will be looking for it. Thank you!
