Thank you for all of your visits and comments throughout the year. I really do appreciate the community that I have found through this blog.

As I look over the posts that people read and comment on, I'm also looking back a a few very old posts and thinking about deleting them.

How do you reflect over the year that has been?
Have you deleted many posts years after posting them?

A song, A stable, A cross and An angel.

My favourite Christmas song...

On the tree...

On the shelf...

Christmas can be an incredibly happy time for many people
It's also the time of year when we remember those who aren't with us.
And for many reasons this time of year can cause great sorrow.
I hope you find joy in the moments
and share your love with those who may be hurting or alone.

Merry Christmas!!!
Be blessed this season of giving

Introducing... Skye Wieland

          ~ Author Spotlight ~

I'd love you to meet new author -Skye Wieland
My Photo

I met this very lovely lady in October at a writer's getaway on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

Skye jumped at the chance to play ...

FIVE FAVOURITES

So lets get to know a little more about Skye ...

Favourite foods?

I love coffee and chocolate!!! What teacher/author/woman doesn't? I also have a taste for quirky foreign foods such as South African rusks (which is not a baby teething biscuit as I once thought) but rather a lovely breakfast bar type thing that you dip in coffee.

Favourite colours?

I love many colours! Depending on my mood, I sway...when I want peace and calm, I love cool colours that are light and pastelly such as blues, aqua-marine, greens...colours that remind me of the oceans around coral reef.
When in a fun mood, I love all things vibrant, but hot pinks, reds, yellows.

Favourite authors?

I grew up loving Bryce Courtney and C.S.Lewis. As an adult, I also love a variety of genres that range from Francine Rivers, Dee Henderson and Paula Vince through to more gritty adventures by the likes of Wayne Thomas Batson.

Pastimes?

I am also an artist, majoring on oils on canvas, I love to paint and draw. I also love horse-riding and swimming...and enjoy a spot of online gaming.

Favourite places?

While I'd love to travel more extensively, my favourite places to hang out are the solitude of the bush, up on a hill with a view, or cruising around with my snorkelling gear on the reef. I feel at peace when I surround myself with nature.

Thanks for playing Skye. I feel like I know you better already.
Sarah's Gift

"Sarah's Gift is the first book of Skye Wieland's Dare to Follow trilogy about a group of friends who find God and themselves in the midst of adventure, danger, and amazing vista. Sarah White, an Aussie horse trainer running away from her past, tries to start a new life at a safari business in South Africa. Elephant culling, strange recurring dreams, and a supernatural encounter lead her to discovering an amazing gift she has. Will she use this gift or remain paralyzed by her traumatizing memories?" synopsis copied from Amazon

Sarah's gift was enjoyable to read. Skye blended quite a lot of technical information into the the storyline - and did it very well. I felt like I travelled to Africa and learnt quite a lot about horses. The Christian themes throughout this story are prevalent and the main driving force.  I look forward to reading the next book in the series, Mark's Strength, which will be release in March 2013

Back....

This week I'm joining in with ACRBAs blog tour

introducing
(Even  Before Publishing)

by Rose Dee

Rose Dee

Rose Dee was born in Ingham, North Queensland, Australia. Her childhood experiences growing up in a small beach community would later provide inspiration for her first novel.

Rose, who holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree, decided to try her hand at writing two years ago. The result of that attempt is her first novel, 'Back to Resolution'.
Her novels are inspired by the love of her coastal home and desire to produce exciting and contemporary stories of faith for women.

Rose’s other releases include, 'Beyond Resolution' - the second book in the 'Resolution' series. And ‘A New Resolution’ – the final book in the series.
Rose has also co-written a novel in conjunction with three other outstanding Australian Authors; ‘The Greenfield Legacy’.

Rose resides in Mackay, North Queensland with her husband, young son, and mischievous pup, Noodle.

Back to Resolution

Bay Anders is lost. She enjoys every privilege a wealthy upbringing affords, but the void in her soul refuses to be filled.
Her mother's dying revelation drives Bay to the brink of self destruction, before a move to Australia changes everything. She embarks upon a search for her father that leads her to his island home, into a hazardous melting pot of hostile locals and a mystery – her father's disappearance.
The only person who can help her is a strong, selfassured and intensely magnetic man. Bay must fight an overwhelming attraction to stay focused on her goal.

Flynn McKenna is hiding from the world. A past filled with mistakes drove him to withdraw from society and live in seclusion. But the arrival of a woman he cannot avoid
shatters his solitary existence. As the search for Bay's father unites them, can he resist his desire for her?
It becomes a race against time as developers try to take over the island.

From the glittering streets of LA, to the beautiful
Daintree forest in North Queensland, to the idyllic island `Resolution', Back to Resolution is a romantic mystery that shows how far a little faith can go.
