Teach them how to make their own bed (the daily pull up) from a young age, help them until they can do it so you're happy with it. Then leave it as their responsibility. One less job for mum.
I've been doing this with Jasmine for the last year or so, and while she does forget some days (and I forget to remind her!), it is a definite start on a habit of a lifetime.
